Four Fun Hobbies To Try With Your Friends

Posted on 30/07/202530/07/2025 by The Busy Papa

While there are plenty of hobbies that are best undertaken on your own, some of the greatest are those enjoyed with friends. Sharing a hobby is a fantastic way to deepen the bond between you and your buddies, and no matter what sort of interests you have, there are so many different options that there’s always something that all of you can enjoy.

Of course, the question is, how do you choose? This article is here to help you with that question. Here are four of the best hobbies to enjoy as a group!

1. Paintballing

A paintball session is a lot of fun for the right group. If you and your friends enjoy hobbies that are high-energy and competitive, the fast-paced nature of paintballing should fit the bill, and no matter where you’re located in the world, there are usually centres nearby.

In typical fashion, two teams head off against each other in a specially designed arena to shoot at each other. When you’re hit, you’re out, and there’s a great deal of skill in staying hidden and dodging out of the firing line.

2. Escape Rooms

Escape rooms are one of the best types of hobbies to enjoy with friends because of how collaborative they are in nature.

The premise is simple: you’re locked in a room (or series of rooms), and have to solve a number of puzzles in order to escape. You’ll need to rely on each person’s strengths to make it through; it’s a great laugh and allows you to lean into what you’re good at and enjoy the process of teamwork.

3. Board Game Nights

Everyone has enjoyed a board game at some point in their lives, but there’s a lot more to this hobby than the classics like Monopoly and Ludo. You’ve got incredibly deep, tactical experiences like Sycth for those that love combat, and then games like Catan, which challenge your ability to manage resources.

They’re a great opportunity to get some snacks and a few drinks, and just chill out and enjoy spending time with each other in a chill environment.

4. Camping

While there’s certainly merit to camping alone, most people much prefer the experience with friends.

t’s an opportunity to get together with some of your best pals and leave the modern world behind for a few nights. You’ll cook great food, have deep chats, and explore the natural world, taking in the fresh air the trees provide while in the moment.

It’s the sort of hobby that leaves you going home feeling renewed, and to be able to enjoy that feeling with your friends is a great gift.

Wrapping Up

There are so many different hobbies to try – it simply depends on what resonates with you and your friends most. Have a proper sit-down with them to discuss and see what you can come up with. Hopefully, the options above have provided you with a great place to start, so do some digging and see what resonates. Have fun!
