Lavender
My mum always grew lavender, it is without a doubt one of my favourite plants and smells. This powerful aroma can be a strong combatant of stress and tension; two leading factors in distraction and ill-mental health. Many also find that a little bit of lavender on the pillow can do wonders for sleep, as it deals with agitation and allows better rest.
Cinnamon
Probably most associated with cereal or baked produce, however the sweet scent has very practical purposes in the wellbeing scene. Cinnamon is useful for enhancing cognitive function and reasoning.
Jasmine
When stress and tension are the reasons you’re unproductive, then jasmine may be the relief you are looking for. Used widely in the east since ancient times; there is a feeling of euphoria that can come from a hint of this.
Eucalyptus
The aroma of eucalyptus is extremely overpowering; however, it is a fantastic way of getting blood flowing to the brain. The scent is certain to make you feel more alert and grant a sudden burst of energetic productivity.
Vetiver
Vetiver has a number of uses generally. The plant’s roots are a common medicinal ingredient that can be physically applied or ingested to handle stress, lice, arthritis, burns and stomach pain. Peppermint
Did you know that peppermint is a natural stimulant which naturally increases concentration? The smell is known to boost energy and invigorate the senses.
Pine
Pine is a pretty powerful antidepressant. Whilst its effects may or may not come from the association of natural forest environments; it is a great influencer of mood and helps make the mind more capable of focus.
