How Can You Help Australia?

If you’re passionate about the environment or keeping up with world events, you’ll know one of the most prominent issues right now is the Australian bushfires. At least 25,000 koalas have died in the fire, and this will cause many issues for the survival of the species. Many other animals have died; a billion, in total. 18 million acres have burned. 27 people have died. Over 2000 homes have been destroyed. You don’t have to be an Australian or have any family in Australia to have empathy with the Australian people right now and see how terrible a tragedy this is. So, how can you help Australia? Read on for some suggestions.

Spread The Word

You may think that sharing things on your social media pages will not make a big difference, but it can help to spread the word of what is going on and encourage others to donate. It can make a bigger difference than you think.

Donate

If you have money to spare, donating to worthy causes could help. You could donate to help the volunteers that are looking after animals caught up in the fires, or something else that you think is worthwhile. There are many worthy charities out there working hard right now.

Do Something To Raise Money

Perhaps you could do something to raise money. If you’re good at sketching, for example, you could offer a free quick sketch to anybody who sends through their donation receipt to you.
