Her Death
Life in abundance that you tore to shreds,
As you marched forward at your selfish pace,
And her cries for help went over your heads,
But you knew best; the mighty human race,
Easy to ignore the oven you made,
When the ocean did not encroach your shore,
Simple to ignore all those who threw shade,
Until the effects were outside your door,
You watched as she fell down upon her knees,
Stumbling and chocking beneath your might,
You ignored all of her desperate pleas,
Just to look upon her face and see fright.
